Welcome Petri!

Petri laying downWe are excited to welcome “Petri”, a 23 year old  chestnut gelding (boy) to Glade Run Adventures!  Petri is what is know as a grade horse which means he is a beautiful mix of many breeds. Lovingly called  a “Heinz 57” or “mutt”, Petri’s grade status affords him some of the best attributes of several different breeds.   Though in his “older years” now, Petri had some very active and worldly younger days. When he was nine, he started showing in the hunter/jumper ring and traveled to local shows as well as shows in Chagrin Falls, OH. When he got a few years older, and his owner headed to college, he moved all over the state of Pennsylvania. He’s lived in Waterloo, Montoursville and Pennsylvania Furnace, spending most summers in Zelienople. His traveling years were spent mostly trail riding and enjoying his pasture and his friends. Petri is eager to get back to work as a lesson horse for the students of Glade Run Adventures and we are glad to have another sturdy and sweet guy in the barn!  Stop by 40 Muntz Run Rd. to visit Petri (just bring your mud boots)!
