Poinsettias, Wreaths, and Chocolate, Oh My!

It’s that time of year!  Christmas wreaths, MilkDarkAsstLb-258x180poinsettias and Anderson’s chocolates make GREAT gifts for friends, family and co-workers – and provide an extra gift of support to the Adventures Program!  Pick up a poinsettia for your boss, a Norfolk Pine for the host and hostess of that annual Christmas party, and a box of chocolates to stuff in a stocking (or two).  Oh, and don’t forget to treat yourself – in the name of supporting the animals in Adventures!

New this year, we are also offering Specialty Items made by students in the Transitions Program! Support their job skill development by picking up some mulling spices for your cider, herbal teas, and other perfect gift goodies – all only $2.00 each!

All orders need to be placed by noon Wednesday, November 30th (so there’s time to get your family’s order over Thanksgiving!).

Pick up your orders after noon on Wednesday, December 7th in the Specialty Services Building.

Make all checks payable to GLADE RUN LUTHERAN SERVICES.  Credit card orders may also be taken over the phone (724) 452-4453 ext. 1236.

For Anderson’s candy – print out this order form andersons-candy-order-form OR pick up an Anderson’s colored brochure and order form (available in SSB, & at the front desks) and submit with payment to the Specialty Services building by November 30th. (You can also view the candy items at the Anderson website http://andersonscandies.com/product-category/christmas/ but please do not place your order on the website or we will not be given fundraising credit or be able to deliver your order to you.)

Glade Run Adventures provides personalized experiences in nature, including horseback riding lessons, guided trail rides, animal care classes, gardening classes, farm to table cooking experiences and nature themed arts and crafts. Julie Wahlenmayer, Director of Adventures

Julie has been with Glade Run since 1996, shortly after graduating from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies. Her experiences in animal and horticultural assisted therapies at Glade Run lead Julie to complete her Master’s Degree in Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Julie’s desire to connect individuals with the natural world around them, combined with her equestrian training and love of gardening, helped to shape our Adventures Program into the exemplary program that it is today. Julie’s vision for Glade Run Adventures is for it to become a model for social, emotional and physical growth and learning.
